Senior IT Test Automation Engineer (Java)

Location: Gdańsk, Gdynia, or Warsaw, Poland; hybrid model with 3 days per week in the office

Rate: Up to 120 PLN/h net + VAT

What you will do

• Design and implement automated tests for APIs, integration processes, data flows, and Master Data Management solutions.
• Develop, maintain, and architect scalable test automation frameworks using Clean Code practices and POJO design patterns.
• Create regression tests and integrate them with CI/CD pipelines.
• Test SOAP and REST APIs, asynchronous integrations, Kafka-based solutions, data pipelines, databases, and event-driven architectures.
• Analyze test results, prepare test evidence, and deliver execution reports using tools such as Allure.
• Promote an Automation First approach, use AI tools such as GitHub Copilot, and mentor less experienced team members.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in automated software testing, preferably in complex enterprise environments.
• Hands-on Java 17+ test automation experience with strong knowledge of OOP and Clean Code principles.
• Practical experience with RESTAssured, JUnit 5, Lombok, REST architecture, and SOAP/WSDL contracts.
• Experience with SQL, database testing, Allure, qTest, Jira, Git, branching strategies, pull requests, code reviews, Jenkins, and/or Bamboo.
• Knowledge of Agile methodologies, including Scrum ceremonies and backlog refinement.
• Fluent English at B2/C1 level and the ability to work from the specified Polish locations in a hybrid model.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with UI testing using Selenium or Playwright.
