Staff Product Manager, Moderation (AI)

Location: Remote - United States

Base salary: $217,000–$303,900 USD annually, plus potential equity and commission depending on the position.

What you will do

• Define product strategy and roadmap for community enforcement and moderator workflows.
• Lead zero-to-one development of LLM-powered moderation experiences.
• Research moderators, community members, and healthy community dynamics to shape product experiences.
• Define success metrics and product/model evaluation criteria tied to user value and community health.
• Assess model quality, including precision, recall, coverage, latency, failure modes, human review, and feedback loops.
• Partner with Engineering, Data Science/ML, Design, Safety, Consumer, and senior leadership on a highly visible product priority.

Requirements

• Staff-level product experience owning consumer products or systems with measurable user impact.
• Exceptional product judgment across user research, problem framing, prioritization, UX, and product quality.
• Experience leading ambiguous zero-to-one or major product-evolution initiatives from strategy through launch and learning.
• Experience building AI/ML-powered products and evaluating model and product tradeoffs.
• Strong analytical judgment and experience defining metrics, interpreting evidence, and changing direction when needed.
• Excellent cross-functional leadership in technically complex and ambiguous environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with community, social, creator, UGC, trust and safety, or moderation products.
• Experience with ML-heavy consumer products or policy-sensitive AI experiences.
• Experience replacing mature systems with new product paradigms in complex organizations.
