Product Manager - Data Platform (AI)

Location: Remote role associated with Atlanta, Georgia; Charlotte, North Carolina; Chicago, Illinois; and Portland, Oregon, USA.

Salary: $151,000–$189,000 USD annual base pay, plus eligibility for a corporate bonus plan.

What you will do

• Own the vision, strategy, roadmap, and business outcomes for the Dirac data platform.
• Define storage, retention, tiering, pricing, query, and at-rest processing capabilities for data at large scale.
• Shape NRQL, SQL, and AI-driven natural-language querying for engineers, analysts, and AI agents.
• Lead federation across clouds, regions, and customer-owned storage, including data sovereignty and residency capabilities.
• Use customer research, platform metrics, unit economics, and cost data to guide product decisions.
• Partner with engineering, architecture, design, finance, sales, and marketing to deliver platform initiatives and launches.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience; Computer Science or a related technical background is preferred.
• 5+ years of product management experience building and launching technical platform, data, or infrastructure products.
• Strong technical understanding of storage, query engines, distributed systems, and cloud architecture.
• Hands-on experience using AI and LLM tools for productivity and product development.
• Ability to analyze qualitative and quantitative data, manage ambiguity, and lead through influence.

Nice to have

• Experience with databases, data warehouses, lakehouses, or query engines such as ClickHouse, Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, Druid, or Elasticsearch.
• Experience with observability, telemetry data, streaming, or real-time processing systems such as Kafka or Flink.
• Familiarity with data sovereignty, data residency, regulated environments, or public cloud infrastructure.
• Experience with usage-based pricing, unit economics, COGS, or enterprise B2B SaaS products.
