Software Test Engineer

Location: Huntsville, Alabama, United States; onsite. U.S. citizenship and eligibility to obtain and maintain a security clearance are required.

Salary: $90,000–$120,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, and execute software test plans, test cases, and test procedures.
• Create testing strategies and schedules aligned with project requirements and delivery milestones.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, negative, usability, performance, and reliability testing.
• Identify, document, track, and verify defects while collaborating with software development teams on root-cause analysis and fixes.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous improvement of QA methodologies.
• Participate in design reviews and document test procedures and results for repeatability, compliance, and quality standards.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance required.
• At least 3 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or software engineering.
• Experience creating and executing manual and automated test plans.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum, SDLC methodologies, defect tracking, and test management tools.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• AWS Certified Machine Learning certification.
• Experience with CI/CD tools, automated testing frameworks, database testing, and validation techniques.
