Application Engineer General Vacuum EMEA (m/f/d) - France (Vacuum Technology)

Location: Grenoble, France; regular travel of approximately 30% within EMEA

What you will do

• Understand customer processes and technical challenges, define measurement requirements, and recommend vacuum technology solutions.
• Perform application assessments, feasibility studies, technical troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis for vacuum and process issues.
• Support installation, commissioning, optimization, demonstrations, proofs of concept, and test plans.
• Collaborate with Sales, KAMs, SAMs, Service, Product Management, and Business Units on technical opportunities and customer projects.
• Prepare technical presentations, product demonstrations, proposals, RFQ responses, and customer value propositions.
• Define acceptance criteria and application KPIs, document reusable application knowledge, and develop training materials.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Vacuum Technology, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 3–7 years of experience in vacuum technology, instrumentation, process engineering, applications engineering, service engineering, or a related industrial environment.
• Solid knowledge of vacuum technology, vacuum system design, vacuum processes, pressure measurement principles, gauges, controllers, and measurement systems.
• Direct customer-facing experience is strongly preferred.
• Fluent English, written and spoken, is required.
• Willingness to travel approximately 30% within EMEA is required.
