Student Software Engineer (Cloud, Big Data, Billing & AI)

Location: Hybrid in Ra'anana, Israel; availability to work at least 3 days per week is required

What you will do

• Develop and operate cloud-native distributed systems for SAP FinOps and Billing.
• Build data ingestion, processing, aggregation, metering, and billing integrations for high-volume event data.
• Contribute to Big Data pipelines, scalable microservices, databases, event-driven architectures, and messaging systems.
• Improve observability, monitoring, testing, and operational automation for production systems.
• Build AI-powered tools, agents, MCP integrations, and automation for troubleshooting, data analysis, and system management.
• Collaborate with developers, architects, and domain experts in an international Agile team.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, with an academic average of 80 or above.
• At least 1.5 years remaining until graduation or current enrollment in a master's degree.
• Solid programming and software engineering fundamentals, with experience in one or more languages such as Java, Go, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Knowledge of cloud-native architectures, microservices, distributed systems, Big Data, databases, data processing, messaging, Docker, or Kubernetes.
• Interest or experience in AI-assisted development, large language models, agents, MCP, or AI-based automation.
• Fluent English is required, and availability to work at least 3 days per week is required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Spring Boot.
• Hands-on experience with Big Data, event-driven systems, messaging and queuing systems, Docker, or Kubernetes.
