Mid-Level Data Scientist (AI/ML)

What you will do

• Lead machine learning, statistical analysis, and data analysis work across projects of varying complexity.
• Design approaches for handling, analyzing, and using large law enforcement, intelligence, investigative, and business datasets.
• Develop custom data models, algorithms, Python scripts, and software code for data search, retrieval, and processing.
• Design, test, and validate data quality, integrity, performance, and automated data processes.
• Coordinate deployment of predictive models and monitor operational outcomes across functional teams.
• Present data-driven recommendations, visualizations, infographics, and charts to executive and non-technical audiences.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience as a Data Scientist or in an equivalent data-centric role.
• At least 6 years of experience with programming languages, statistical packages, modern datasets, and AI/ML tools.
• At least 6 years of experience acquiring, extracting, preparing, cleaning, and analyzing large datasets.
• At least 6 years of experience conducting exploratory data analysis and communicating technical findings through visualizations and tables.
• Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
• Ability to obtain and maintain the U.S. Government security clearance required for National Security Branch programs.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Physical Sciences, or a related analytical discipline.
• Advanced Python, machine learning frameworks, and data science libraries.
• Advanced SQL, database management, complex query optimization, and basic ETL pipeline architecture.
• Experience training and tuning supervised and unsupervised machine learning models.
• Experience with interactive BI dashboards, visual analytics, and Git.
