Fraud Operations Specialist - Fraud Onboarding (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid role based in London, with 2–3 days per week in the office. Shifts run 7.5 hours between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Friday, with one remotely worked weekend day every other week and occasional bank holiday work. Working from abroad is available for up to 120 days per year, subject to having the right to work in the country of choice.

What you will do

• Handle fraud escalations during the application journey, including document reviews, call listening, and investigation of onboarding concerns.
• Complete payment reviews within service levels while protecting customers and reducing friction for legitimate payments.
• Investigate personal-information change requests and fraudulent transaction claims end to end.
• Raise Visa chargebacks where applicable and submit reports to Cifas.
• Identify and escalate first-party fraud with clear, evidence-based rationale.
• Keep customers informed, support senior colleagues and team leaders, and coach colleagues on fraud referrals.

Requirements

• Proven experience in a similar fraud operations role within a financial institution.
• Previous experience using Cifas and Visa.
• Knowledge of fraud and AML laws and regulations.
• Excellent attention to detail when examining documents and making decisions.
• Ability to prioritise cases, remain effective under pressure, and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work from the London office 2–3 days per week and cover the stated shift and weekend schedule.
