Sr. DevSecOps Engineer I (DevSecOps)

Location: Reston, Virginia, United States. Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States and complete employment eligibility verification.

Salary: $200,000–$210,000 per year, with potential performance-based bonuses and additional incentives.

What you will do

• Design and implement technical solutions across multiple classification environments with customers and internal teams.
• Build and maintain GitLab and Jenkins CI/CD pipelines with integrated security scanning and STIG compliance validation.
• Create CloudFormation-based Infrastructure as Code for highly available and secure DevSecOps tooling across AWS GovCloud, C2S, and TC2S.
• Automate and manage production-grade Kubernetes or OpenShift clusters across on-premises and cloud environments.
• Analyze Linux system and application logs, perform root cause analysis, and develop mitigation strategies for service degradation.
• Advise development teams on secure coding, STIG compliance, vulnerability remediation, and ATO support while mentoring junior engineers.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI security clearance with CI Poly.
• Eligibility to work in the United States and completion of required employment verification.
• Certification satisfying DoD 8140/8570 requirements, such as Security+ or an equivalent certification.
• At least five years of experience as a DevSecOps Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or in a similar role.
• Strong hands-on Linux experience and experience with containerization and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience automating Kubernetes or OpenShift deployments with Ansible, Terraform, and/or CloudFormation in on-premises and cloud environments.

Nice to have

• Helm chart development experience.
• Experience working with STIGs.
