Senior JS Fullstack Engineer (React/Node.js)

Location: Bulgaria, Poland, or Romania; remote or office work

What you will do

• Design and build scalable full-stack product features for retail teams using React, Node.js, TypeScript, and serverless components.
• Develop REST APIs, integrate GraphQL services, and build AWS Lambda functions with Amazon API Gateway and secure CORS configuration.
• Improve frontend and backend performance, scalability, maintainability, and architectural quality.
• Implement unit, integration, and end-to-end tests and apply clean architecture, SOLID principles, and low-coupling design.
• Use logs, metrics, and tracing to troubleshoot production issues and maintain system stability.
• Contribute to CI/CD improvements, code reviews, and engineering best practices.

Requirements

• 4+ years of commercial software development experience.
• Strong proficiency with React, Node.js, and TypeScript, including React Hooks, asynchronous programming, and robust error handling.
• Experience building RESTful APIs, consuming GraphQL services, and working with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on experience with AWS Lambda, API Gateway integrations, CORS, testing strategies, and the Test Pyramid.
• Experience with AI engineering and AI tools or harnesses.
• Intermediate strong or Upper-Intermediate English is required for collaboration in a multicultural team.

Nice to have

• Advanced AWS ecosystem experience, including retries, dead-letter queues, and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with GraphQL resolvers, schema stitching, Kafka, AWS EventBridge, Terraform, or similar Infrastructure as Code tools.
