Senior Fullstack Engineer (JavaScript/TypeScript)

Location: Fully remote within Bulgaria

What you will do

• Join a self-organizing, cross-functional product team working on Jira Misc Workflow Extensions and Jira Misc Custom Fields.
• Design, build, and maintain scalable applications primarily using Effect-TS and Node.js.
• Participate in the full product lifecycle, from ideation and design through development, release, and maintenance.
• Establish engineering practices including automated testing, code review, pair programming, and ownership of production systems.
• Automate cloud services and configuration management to improve scalability, operational efficiency, and cost optimization.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, marketing, support, and customers while influencing product decisions and team improvements.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience delivering multiple scalable, high-volume cloud applications.
• Strong proficiency in full-stack JavaScript or TypeScript applications.
• Practical experience with modern cloud architectures and deep understanding of web application performance, quality, and security.
• Strong computer science foundations, including algorithms, computational complexity, and object-oriented programming.
• Product-oriented mindset, with the ability to influence product decisions and mentor team members.
• English at B2 level or higher.

Nice to have

• Experience with Effect.js, Express.js, Atlassian Forge, Jira, or Jira Service Management.
• Experience using AI models and tools such as Cursor.
• Experience with Slack integrations.
• Knowledge of the Bang! board game.
