Senior Storage Administrator – Backup and Data Recovery Specialist

Location: Lisbon, Portugal; hybrid work model. Candidates must already have the legal right to work in the European Union.

What you will do

• Manage and optimize an operational environment of 10 TSM servers for high availability and performance.
• Define and implement data retention policies across a multi-site environment.
• Monitor system health across three sites and troubleshoot operational issues proactively.
• Perform data restores and recovery procedures to protect data integrity.
• Manage IBM tape libraries and tape management systems.
• Automate storage workflows with Bash, KSH, Python, and Perl, while collaborating with database administrators on RMAN, TDP, and DB2 SQL scripting.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in storage management and backup solutions.
• Expertise with IBM TSM, StorageProtect, and TSMManager.
• Deep knowledge of tape libraries and tape management.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash, KSH, Python, and Perl.
• Familiarity with RMAN, TDP, and DB2 SQL scripting.
• Communicative English and an existing legal right to work in the European Union.

Nice to have

• Certifications in storage or backup management.
• Experience with advanced data archiving solutions or cloud integrations.
