Clinical Lead (Medtech)

hirify.global is building Tricorder in its venture studio as a pre-seed dual-use medtech venture for defence medical, civilian pre-hospital, and humanitarian care.

What you will do

• Shape clinical workflows for casualty assessment, treatment, handover, and evacuation from point of injury to definitive care.
• Lead clinical risk management and support the Clinical Safety Officer function under NHS DCB0129.
• Guide evidence planning, clinical pilots, early studies, clinical claims, protocols, and terminology across the product and its AI features.
• Represent Tricorder to defence medical services, NHS and ambulance trusts, humanitarian organisations, investors, and clinical partners.
• Secure clinical pilots, user testing, and early design partnerships through networks across defence medicine, the NHS, and humanitarian response.
• Advise the founder and engineering team on clinical priorities and support future clinical hiring.

Requirements

• Military medical service as a military medic or doctor is mandatory.
• GMC registration with deep experience in resuscitation, trauma, emergency surgery, emergency medicine, or pre-hospital care.
• Current clinical activity as a reservist, NHS clinician, or participant in humanitarian or disaster response.
• Credibility with senior defence medical leaders, NHS clinicians, and investors, with readiness to be the named clinical lead.
• Ability to translate clinical realities into practical product decisions and work with engineers and designers in a startup environment.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement in Bristol or London, UK.

Nice to have

• Experience advising or working with medtech or health-tech startups as a CMO, clinical lead, or advisor.
• Clinical Safety Officer training covering DCB0129 or DCB0160, or experience with UKCA/CE and ISO 14971.
• Leadership experience in defence medical services, including clinical lead, medical director, or command roles.
• Experience with mass-casualty planning, deployed hospital care, or global health systems.
• Familiarity with clinical AI, data standards, or digital health interoperability.
