TL;DR
Middle Java Developer (Java): Building and maintaining Java applications spanning back-end services and desktop or mobile clients with an accent on reliable code, application performance, and collaborative development. What you will do
- Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code.
- Contribute throughout the software development lifecycle and coordinate with teams working across infrastructure layers.
- Optimize application performance, quality, and responsiveness.
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs and develop solutions.
- Support code quality, test automation, continuous improvement, and architectural technology reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- 4+ years of experience in Java programming.
- Knowledge of Core Java, Servlet/JSP, JDBC, SOAP/RESTful services, Hibernate, Spring, Spring MVC, Struts or JSF, web services, Oracle, and MSSQL.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and architectural patterns.
- Experience with Java GUI frameworks such as Swing, SWT, or AWT and vendor implementations such as Apache Tomcat, JBoss, or IBM WebSphere.
- Experience with automated testing, unit tests, Git, and build tools such as Ant, Maven, or Gradle; good English communication skills are required.
