TL;DR
Middle Java Developer (Java): Building and maintaining Java applications spanning backend services and desktop or mobile clients with an accent on reliable code, application performance, and collaborative development. Focus on designing reusable services, solving bottlenecks and bugs, implementing automated tests, and evaluating technologies for architectural improvements.
Location: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The work model prioritizes in-person collaboration, with some remote-work support.

What you will do
- Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications.
- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable Java code.
- Contribute across all phases of the software development lifecycle.
- Improve application performance, quality, responsiveness, code organization, and automation.
- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, develop solutions, and investigate alternative technologies.
- Coordinate with team members across infrastructure layers and report daily assignments to the Project Manager or Team Lead.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
- 4+ years of Java programming experience.
- Strong knowledge of Core Java, Servlet/JSP, JDBC, SOAP/RESTful services, Hibernate, Spring, Spring MVC, Struts, JSF, web services, Oracle, and MSSQL.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and architectural patterns.
- Experience with Java GUI frameworks such as Swing, SWT, or AWT, and vendor implementations such as Apache Tomcat, JBoss, or IBM WebSphere.
- Experience with automated testing and unit tests, Git, and build tools such as Ant, Maven, or Gradle. Good English communication skills are required.
