Senior Manager, Software Development Engineer in Test (Quality Engineering)

Location: Santa Monica, California, United States, or New York, New York, United States

Salary: $171,600–$230,100 per year in California; $179,700–$241,000 per year in New York. Bonus and long-term incentive units may also be provided.

What you will do

• Lead and develop multiple quality engineering teams and people leaders.
• Define and execute a multi-year quality engineering strategy for advertising, commerce, and data systems.
• Set technical direction for large-scale test automation, cloud-native solutions, and AI/ML-driven testing.
• Guide shared automation frameworks, tools, and platforms across engineering teams.
• Oversee quality governance, compliance, traceability, resource planning, hiring, and organizational design.
• Partner with engineering, product, data science, operations, business, and executive stakeholders on quality risks and outcomes.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software quality engineering, test automation, or software development, including 5+ years managing managers or leading multi-team organizations.
• Experience scaling and transforming quality engineering functions in complex, cloud-native, high-scale environments.
• Expertise in modern test automation frameworks, CI/CD, software engineering practices, and agile approaches.
• Hands-on manual and automated testing experience with identity and access management systems, including security and performance testing.
• Advanced proficiency with Python or modern object-oriented languages.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience, plus strong communication, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills.
