Senior Director, System Engineering & Intelligence, Global (AI Data Centres)

Location: US; remote-first workplace

Salary: $280,000–$400,000 USD base salary per year, with potential bonus, equity, commission, and benefits.

What you will do

• Set a multi-year strategy and investment roadmap across CMMS/EAM, PIM/PLM, integrations, telemetry, and data platforms.
• Establish canonical asset identities, lifecycle governance, taxonomies, hierarchies, configuration standards, and bills of materials.
• Build a unified asset and topology model integrating OT/IT data from grid infrastructure through GPUs and network ports.
• Improve maintenance and reliability through governed CMMS/EAM data, predictive maintenance, anomaly detection, remaining-useful-life prediction, and thermal and power optimisation.
• Advance operational intelligence from shadow and recommendation modes toward human-approved and bounded-autonomous control loops with explicit safety envelopes.
• Lead site-readiness measurement, cross-functional escalation, supplier data delivery, and development of a team spanning lifecycle engineering, data science, and data engineering.

Requirements

• 15+ years of experience in engineering, asset management, enterprise systems, or industrial analytics, including 7+ years leading cross-functional programmes at director level or above.
• Scaled ownership of a CMMS/EAM platform such as Maximo, SAP PM, Infor, or Nuvolo, with expertise in master data, PIM/PLM, BOM, and configuration management.
• Experience delivering analytics or ML for physical infrastructure and working with complex BMS/SCADA/historian data.
• Experience taking models into operational control or decision loops, including safety, validation, and governance.
• Strong enterprise and data architecture judgement across ERP, integrations, streaming, time-series storage, lineage, and Palantir Foundry or an equivalent platform.
• Experience with ITIL-aligned operations and controlled MOP, LOTO, and permit-to-work regimes in mission-critical environments.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of AI/HPC data centre infrastructure, including liquid cooling, UPS, switchgear, GPU telemetry, and fabric telemetry.
• Familiarity with RCM, FMEA, ISO 14224, and ISO 55000 reliability standards.
• Experience with digital twins, CFD-informed modelling, BIM/COBie handover, energy optimisation, or grid optimisation.
