Principal Security Engineer (AI)

Location: Seattle, Washington, United States; hybrid with onsite work Tuesday through Thursday each week

Salary: $256,000–$320,000 starting base salary annually, plus equity and other compensation components

What you will do

• Set technical direction for the Security & Privacy organization through hands-on delivery across security domains.
• Design, build, and ship agentic platforms, agents, skills, and tooling for application security, infrastructure security, identity, privacy, governance, and risk.
• Deliver production security features and controls at a rapid pace, replacing manual processes with trusted automation.
• Advise engineering leaders and executives on secure design, technical standards, and principled security risk decisions.
• Develop engineers across job families by promoting AI-enabled building, coding, and outcome-focused innovation.

Requirements

• Deep software engineering experience building, operating, and leading major production services at scale.
• Hands-on experience delivering production or open-source software through agentic development and shipping code regularly.
• Experience building security controls and automation with LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI, Python, and Golang.
• Strong expertise in security engineering, AI, application security, cloud and infrastructure security, identity and access management, cryptography, and data protection.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, Kubernetes, and cloud-native infrastructure.
• Demonstrated mentorship, technical leadership, communication, and ownership across security functions in organizations with 1,000 or more users.
