Senior Security Application Engineer (FinTech)

Location: New York, United States; full-time onsite at the New York City office

Salary: $200,000–$235,000 USD base salary annually, plus equity and an annual performance bonus.

What you will do

• Lead threat modeling and product security architecture reviews with cross-functional teams.
• Integrate SAST, DAST, and vulnerability management into CI/CD pipelines.
• Design secure-by-default AWS infrastructure using Terraform and Kubernetes.
• Build encryption services, key management systems, and data protection controls for distributed environments.
• Oversee bug bounty programs, incident response workflows, and penetration testing engagements.
• Secure AI-integrated applications through input/output validation and LLM guardrails.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience engineering and scaling end-to-end security programs for high-growth startups.
• Experience securing FinTech, Web3, and digital asset platforms.
• Strong knowledge of distributed systems, microservices, Python or Java.
• Hands-on expertise in container security, Kubernetes, and AWS infrastructure hardening.
• Knowledge of SOC 2 Type II and GDPR technical controls.
• Expertise in AI/ML security lifecycles, MLOps frameworks, and agentic AI platforms; a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or an equivalent technical field.
