Information Services Developer II - IM Health Plans

Location: Irving, Texas, United States; onsite, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Monday–Friday. Minimum overnight travel up to 10%.

What you will do

• Analyze business and functional requirements and define application designs, coding parameters, and essential functionality.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, integrate, configure, and verify applications, databases, interfaces, software components, subsystems, and services.
• Collaborate with information services and cross-functional teams to identify issues, implement viable technical solutions, and assess impacts on existing systems.
• Use automation and testing platforms, resolve issues across test cycles, and continuously improve deliverable quality.
• Evaluate proposed system acquisitions and solutions for compatibility, cost, resource requirements, operations, and maintenance.
• Document each development phase and contribute to standards and proactive processes for collecting and reporting system data and statistics.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
• At least four years of development experience in a corporate environment, including at least four years of experience in corporate systems environments.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle, Agile and Waterfall methodologies, algorithms and data structures, programming principles, and design.
• Strong technical knowledge of application, integration design and development, systems, databases, operating systems, and information services.
• Working experience in system design, coding, and deployment.
• Knowledge of industry-standard web platforms including .NET and C#, automation including RPA and test automation, Microsoft Internet Information Server, Linux, Apache, Unix, and Microsoft Foundation Server.
• Experience working with internal or external customers to coordinate work and design solutions.
• Ability to solve complex problems with direction, interact effectively and patiently with customers under pressure, manage multiple projects or tasks to meet deadlines, and maintain positive working relationships.
