Senior .NET Developer - Information Technology

Location: Chicago, Illinois, United States; reliable, punctual attendance is required. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship.

Base pay: $112,480–$146,540 per year, plus eligibility for bonus and/or long-term incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Lead and participate in the full software development life cycle, from concept and design through deployment, production release, and support.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure, and maintainable applications supporting business goals and user experiences.
• Review code, perform unit testing and debugging, manage source control and bug tracking, and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Identify performance issues, bottlenecks, and production defects; perform performance tuning and root-cause analysis.
• Research emerging technologies, evaluate third-party software, and recommend or implement platform improvements.
• Guide technical direction, participate in design meetings, collaborate with employee and vendor teams, and mentor junior developers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
• 3+ years of hands-on software development experience in an Agile environment.
• Proficiency in .NET or other modern programming languages such as Java.
• Strong experience with front-end and/or backend frameworks.
• Solid understanding of databases and system integration.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple short- and long-term priorities in a busy environment.
• Self-motivation, strong communication skills, and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship. Successful completion of an interview and reliable, punctual attendance are required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with DevOps.
• Knowledge of automated testing, security best practices, and observability tools.
• Understanding of generative AI capabilities and limitations, with the ability to use AI tools responsibly for research, analysis, content creation, and problem-solving while validating outputs and protecting data.
