Software Engineer, Software Updates (OTA)

Salary: $145,830–$219,000 annual base pay, plus performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve release infrastructure, vehicle connectivity, and OTA update systems.
• Build reliable cloud-to-robot infrastructure for network connectivity, telemetry, and software updates.
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables across internal and cross-functional teams.
• Track release-system performance and KPIs, and implement optimizations that improve build cost, time, and resource usage.
• Develop testing and validation programs for system architecture and data flows.
• Improve documentation and participate in business-hours on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a closely related field.
• 2+ years of industry experience with large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong proficiency in Go or C++.
• Knowledge of Unix/Linux environments and Bash scripting.
• Ability to translate high-level requirements into cohesive system designs, with strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and software design for distributed systems.

Nice to have

• Experience with networking, cellular connectivity, or data transfer.
• Experience with OTA updates and execution frameworks such as Temporal.
• Python programming experience.
