Sr. Director, Cyber Security

Location: Plano, Texas; Monday through Friday, with travel between locations as necessary

What you will do

• Lead security operations and manage the managed monitoring partner's service levels.
• Run incident response end to end, including incident command, playbooks, and executive updates.
• Direct detection engineering and threat hunting, including detections as code and coverage measurement.
• Own exposure and vulnerability management, including risk prioritization, closure SLAs, verified remediation, standards, exceptions, and audit evidence.
• Manage security-program AI governance and use AI-assisted triage, investigation, response, and automation.
• Maintain the defense risk register, report metrics to the CISO and board committee, and hire and develop the team.

Requirements

• More than 15 years of cybersecurity experience, including 10 or more years across security governance, security operations, and exposure management.
• More than 8 years of people-management experience.
• Experience leading major incident response, including incident command and executive briefings.
• Experience owning vulnerability management, risk governance, detection engineering, and outsourced detection and response partners at scale.
• Experience applying AI and automation in security operations and governing AI risk.
• Knowledge of PCI DSS and the regulatory environment of consumer finance; retail or consumer-finance experience is required.

Nice to have

• CISSP, CISM, GCIH, GCFA, or a similar certification.
