Senior Cyber Issues Analyst (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Drive cybersecurity issues toward timely resolution by influencing remediation owners, removing barriers, and escalating emerging risks.
• Evaluate control gaps, risk ratings, compensating controls, and risk acceptance requests against threat conditions and business impact.
• Challenge and improve remediation plans to ensure sustainable risk reduction within approved timelines.
• Identify systemic control gaps, emerging themes, and remediation trends for senior leaders and governance teams.
• Apply intelligent workflows, agentic AI, analytics, and automation to improve cybersecurity issue management.
• Partner with technology, business, enterprise risk, compliance, and audit teams to translate technical risk into actionable business decisions.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in information security, cybersecurity risk management, IT governance, or a related discipline.
• Experience evaluating cybersecurity control gaps and managing issues, exceptions, or remediation.
• Knowledge of NIST CSF, ISO/IEC 27001, CIS Controls, and PCI DSS.
• Working knowledge of privileged access management, web application firewalls, vulnerability management, network segmentation, encryption, cloud security, and endpoint protection.
• Hands-on experience with GRC platforms such as Archer and the ability to develop clear, defensible recommendations.
• Ability to influence stakeholders across technology, business, enterprise risk, compliance, and audit without direct reporting authority.

Nice to have

• Certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or CISA.
• Experience in financial services or the payments industry.
• Experience with SOC 1, SOC 2, SOX, PCI DSS, or regulatory examinations.
