System Validation Engineer (SSD)

What you will do

• Lead complex validation, debugging, and failure analysis for enterprise SSDs.
• Drive root cause investigations for validation and integration failures.
• Define debugging strategies and improve validation methodologies using data-driven insights.
• Collaborate with validation, firmware, and architecture teams to improve product quality, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
• Contribute to automation initiatives, debug tool development, test framework improvements, and advanced analytics solutions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 3+ years of experience in validation, debugging, product engineering, firmware development, or related engineering roles.
• Strong experience debugging complex hardware, firmware, software, and system-level issues.
• Understanding of SSD architecture, NAND Flash technologies, and enterprise storage solutions, with hands-on experience in PCIe, NVMe, and storage protocol analysis.
• Linux troubleshooting and system administration skills, plus scripting and automation experience with Python, Bash, Perl, or similar languages.
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to work onsite in Zapopan.

Nice to have

• Experience with enterprise SSD validation, qualification, or product development.
• Knowledge of PCIe and protocol analyzers, oscilloscopes, and hardware debugging tools.
• Experience with BIOS/UEFI, BMC, Linux kernel behavior, server architectures, UART, and hardware signal analysis.
• Familiarity with qualification methodologies, reliability testing, failure mode analysis, AI-assisted debugging, machine learning, and advanced analytics.
