Full Stack Developer (Node.js)

Location: Hybrid in London or Ipswich, United Kingdom. Right to work in the UK is required.

What you will do

• Architect and develop responsive web applications using React, TypeScript, Node.js, and backend frameworks such as Express or NestJS.
• Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance full-stack applications for financial services clients.
• Build reusable software components, libraries, RESTful APIs, and database-backed services.
• Apply security, accessibility, performance, testing, debugging, and code review best practices.
• Improve development tooling, CI/CD pipelines, and testing processes.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior developers while collaborating with product managers and UX designers.

Requirements

• Proven software development experience with React and backend frameworks such as Express or NestJS.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, Node.js, TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and frontend state management such as Redux.
• Experience with SQL, relational database design, and PostgreSQL.
• Experience developing RESTful APIs, using Git, CI/CD pipelines, testing frameworks, and containerisation tools such as Docker or Kubernetes.
• Strong understanding of software performance optimisation and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Ability to lead technical discussions, mentor junior developers, and collaborate effectively.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience or knowledge of blockchain technologies such as Ethereum, Algorand, or Hedera.
• Experience with Agile methodologies and cloud services, especially AWS.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes tooling, particularly Helm.
