Senior Systems Engineer (Air Traffic Surveillance)

Location: East Syracuse, New York, United States; onsite at the East Syracuse office

Salary: $115,700–$150,500 per year

What you will do

• Design system architectures based on customer requirements and perform design analysis and trade studies.
• Lead or contribute to interdisciplinary teams developing detailed designs, technical documentation, and program artifacts.
• Develop test methodologies, plans, and procedures for customer requirements.
• Integrate, configure, and test air traffic surveillance and automation systems in factory and deployed environments.
• Collaborate with customers, prime contractors, and subcontractors on system and subsystem integration.
• Analyze large datasets, investigate anomalies, quantify system performance, and support proposal cost and schedule planning.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or protected individual under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline, relevant military education and training, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience consistent with a senior engineering or technical professional role.
• Experience with system-level architectures, integration and testing strategies, technical planning, risk management, and customer requirements.
• Ability to produce architecture documents, test plans, procedures, reports, and white papers and communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Programming experience in a high-level language such as MATLAB, C/C++, or Java.

• Knowledge of air traffic surveillance systems.
