What you will do

• Develop functional area strategies for drug product development programs.
• Design and execute design-of-experiments studies for pivotal and commercial-ready programs.
• Apply expertise in organic molecules, assemblies, drug substances, excipients, and physicochemical properties.
• Design, conduct, and complete independent formulation research for oral solid dosage forms.
• Collaborate with drug substance, quality, regulatory, supply chain, manufacturing, clinical, pharmacokinetic, and biostatistics functions.
• Document and present results in technical reports, regulatory filings, and presentations while engaging with industry and academic organizations.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree, or a master’s degree with at least 2 years of scientific experience, or a bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of scientific experience.
• Strong background in organic chemistry, physical chemistry, solid-state chemistry, and the physicochemical properties of small molecules.
• Experience in the pharmaceutical sector, particularly with oral solid dosage forms.
• Familiarity with characterization techniques including XRPD, DSC, TGA, and SEM.
• Knowledge of oral solid dosage form unit operations and the ability to lead independent formulation research.
• Effective cross-functional collaboration and exceptional technical writing skills.

Nice to have

• Ph.D. in organic chemistry, physical chemistry, chemical engineering, materials sciences, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related field.
• Understanding of the patent application process and patent law.
• Demonstrated publication record and experience disseminating research.
