Senior Associate Scientist-Chem Analytical

Location: United States - Connecticut - Groton; on-premise work required

Annual base salary: $68,600–$114,300, plus eligibility for a 7.5% bonus target.

What you will do

• Perform laboratory testing to support drug substance and drug product release, stability, and clinical use period extensions.
• Apply analytical methods including chromatography, Karl Fischer, spectroscopy, and dissolution.
• Test and release raw materials, finished drug substances, and drug products, documenting experimental results.
• Collaborate with project teams, quality assurance, and regulatory CMC on investigations, release activities, and period updates.
• Analyze data, troubleshoot instruments, and prepare submission-ready documentation in electronic laboratory systems.

Requirements

• BA/BS with 3+ years of relevant experience in a GMP, academic, or industrial research laboratory, or a master's degree with any level of experience.
• Experience meeting project milestones, managing expectations, and delivering accurate data and documentation.
• Experience with problem-solving, instrument troubleshooting, data analysis, and electronic laboratory notebooks.
• Experience with laboratory software and information systems such as OneLab, CisPro, Empower, and LIMS.
• Strong written and oral communication, organization, attention to detail, teamwork, and adherence to safe GMP laboratory practices.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States by any employer and have permanent U.S. work authorization.

Nice to have

• Pharmaceutical industry or regulated-environment experience.
• Experience with HPLC, GC, or HPLC-MS chromatography techniques.
• Experience using generative AI tools such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot for problem-solving and productivity.
