Avionics Lead – Integration / Electromechanical

What you will do

• Lead daily floor coordination for avionics integration, electromechanical assembly, hardware installation, and related production activities.
• Identify blockers, shortages, tooling issues, drawing concerns, process gaps, and schedule risks, then drive them to resolution with the appropriate support teams.
• Support installation of avionics boxes, panels, brackets, grounding hardware, harnesses, sensors, switches, connectors, and other electromechanical assemblies.
• Help technicians interpret drawings, work instructions, torque requirements, routing requirements, and installation specifications while ensuring work follows released documentation.
• Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Test, Planning, and Manufacturing Engineering on inspections, troubleshooting, first articles, prototype builds, and vehicle-level integration.
• Train and mentor technicians, capture lessons learned, improve recurring installation and sequencing issues, and maintain clear shift and team handoffs.

Requirements

• Strong hands-on electromechanical or avionics integration experience.
• Experience installing avionics hardware, harnesses, brackets, panels, grounding hardware, connectors, or related assemblies.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Understanding of torque, bonding, grounding, connector mating, routing, and hardware installation requirements.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to train technicians and escalate issues proactively.
• Access to export-controlled information may require U.S. Government security clearance or other authorization, citizenship, or eligibility requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting first-article, prototype, development, or production builds.
