Software Development Engineer in Test (QA Automation)

Location: Remote within Canada; locations listed include Waterloo, Ottawa, and Toronto, Ontario.

What you will do

• Create, maintain, and manage test cases and test plans.
• Design and manage automated testing suites.
• Collaborate with Engineering to expand testing coverage and improve code testability.
• Write, track, debug, and verify software defects.
• Debug complex software systems.
• Work with DevOps on testing CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in software test automation and QA.
• Experience with QA automation, Python, and PyTest.
• Experience with API testing and writing unit tests.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Docker containers, and Linux.
• Familiarity with test tracking tools.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of low-level operating systems, cloud technologies, or Kubernetes.
• Experience with C, mobile testing, Android SDK, Xcode, Arduinos, or Appium.
