Senior Software Engineer in Test, UI Platform

Annual base salary: CAD 118,000–162,000

What you will do

• Design and own scalable UI test architecture and frameworks used by multiple frontend teams.
• Build and maintain cross-browser and visual regression test suites to detect UI regressions before release.
• Integrate automated and manual accessibility testing into CI, including WCAG coverage.
• Develop localization and globalization testing across locales, languages, and RTL layouts, and verify default configurations across supported environments.
• Create test plans and quality strategies for platform and frontend initiatives, coordinating scope with engineering management.
• Respond to production and customer issues during on-call rotations and mentor SDETs, new hires, and interns.

Requirements

• 5+ years of quality engineering experience with deep hands-on test automation expertise.
• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript skills, including the ability to read and write production-quality frontend code.
• Hands-on experience with Playwright, Cypress, Selenium WebDriver, or comparable UI testing technologies.
• Experience with cross-browser, visual regression, accessibility, and localization/globalization testing.
• Experience designing test architectures and frameworks from the ground up.
• B.S. in Computer Science or a related field, with the ability to set technical direction and work independently.
