Sr Business Analyst (Cybersecurity)

What you will do

• Lead complex, cross-functional security, risk, and compliance initiatives across Cyber Defense, Cybersecurity/GRC, and Privacy programs.
• Define business and technical requirements, process designs, specifications, workflows, and operating procedures for security platforms and programs.
• Design, test, and implement process and system improvements that reduce manual effort and strengthen control effectiveness.
• Build KPIs, metrics, and executive-ready dashboards, analyze program data, and present trends to senior leadership.
• Lead resilience documentation, disaster recovery and business continuity planning, audit evidence preparation, user acceptance testing, and end-user training.
• Coordinate stakeholders, drive decisions and deliverables to closure, and mentor junior analysts.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience in business analysis, IT governance, risk, compliance, or a comparable technology role.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; a high school diploma or GED is required.
• Strong knowledge of business processes, project management, enterprise technology systems, requirements management, process mapping, and traceability.
• Experience with security and compliance frameworks including NIST CSF, NIST SP 800-53, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, SOC, SOX, PCI DSS, and FFIEC.
• Proficiency with GitHub Enterprise, GitHub Projects, Power BI, SQL, Python or comparable tools, ServiceNow or a comparable ITSM/GRC platform, and Microsoft productivity tools.
• Experience with Agile and Scrum across the software development life cycle, strong analytical and communication skills, and the ability to work independently while mentoring others.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related field.
• Security+, CySA+, CISSP, CISA, CRISC, CBAP, or PMP certification.
• Experience with Lucidchart or a comparable diagramming tool.
