Senior Software Engineer (Collision Avoidance)

Salary: $193,930–$291,150 per year, plus annual performance bonus, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Contribute to the Parallel Autonomy System and Collision Detection System.
• Design and implement systems spanning perception, planning, and control.
• Work on ML-based perception across sensor modalities, including audio.
• Develop high-accuracy object velocity and acceleration estimation.
• Optimize onboard latency and create tooling for large-scale data curation.
• Design validation methodologies for safety-critical systems operating on rare events.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, applied mathematics, or a related engineering field.
• Strong coding skills in C++.
• Experience deploying software in robotics products.
• High attention to detail and commitment to precision.
• Ability to work on collision avoidance systems with demanding accuracy and millisecond-level latency requirements.

Nice to have

• Experience deploying machine learning models in edge environments.
• Experience developing state estimation algorithms for tracking applications.
• Experience optimizing architectures across accuracy and compute tradeoffs.
