Manager QC Development (NGS)

Salary: $139,600–$208,500 USD annually, plus potential performance bonus, equity awards, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead a team developing and optimizing reagent quality control tests and biochemical processes for routine reagent and kit qualification.
• Analyze data and prepare documentation for QC method validation.
• Author and revise QC testing SOPs and reports for laboratory assay implementation.
• Oversee technical transfer of new product QC methods from Research and Development into Operations.
• Provide scientific and technical support for reagent preparation or qualification deviations and non-conformances.
• Manage personnel through technical coaching, employee development, performance appraisals, and policy enforcement.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Molecular Biology, a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 4 years of industry experience.
• Previous management and medium-sized group leadership experience.
• Strong expertise in molecular biology and NGS-based laboratory assays.
• Experience with reagent quality control management and development.
• Ability to prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment; strong technical writing skills are strongly preferred.

Nice to have

• Experience in assay development or a QC laboratory.
• Experience supporting CLIA or FDA laboratories.
