Location: Based in Chicago, with travel to schools and districts approximately 30–50% of the time.
Base salary: $80,000–$100,000 annually; target total compensation approximately $130,000 including a performance-based bonus.

What you will do
- Support schools as a mathematics education specialist and help transform how teachers teach mathematics.
- Design and deliver personalized professional development journeys for schools and teachers.
- Coach teachers in real classrooms through observations, live modeling, and feedback cycles.
- Lead hands-on mathematics workshops grounded in classroom practice and research.
- Build relationships with educators and school leaders while developing a regional community of mathematics educators.
- Drive measurable improvements in teacher confidence, student engagement, and conceptual understanding.
Requirements
- Strong background in mathematics, mathematics education, and instructional coaching.
- Current or former mathematics teaching experience with an academic and professional focus on mathematics instruction.
- Experience coaching, mentoring, or supporting educators in their instructional practice.
- Ability to build relationships and generate opportunities with district-level administrators or equivalent stakeholders.
- Strong educator-to-educator communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to be based in Chicago and travel approximately 30–50% of the time.
Nice to have
- Experience teaching or coaching elementary or K–8 mathematics.
- Experience working with cutting-edge mathematics education research.
- Entrepreneurial experience in an early-stage environment.
