TL;DR
Senior React Native Engineer (AI): Building AI-assisted engineering tooling and improving React Native applications across the Client Platform with an accent on performance, component architecture, testing, observability, and cross-platform consistency. Focus on integrating LLM-based tools with Jira, Confluence, GitLab, and CI/CD, automating coding and testing workflows, and applying responsible AI controls in a regulated fintech environment.
Location: City of London, United Kingdom; hybrid work with three days in the office

What you will do
- Improve React Native application performance, architecture, UI quality, and cross-platform consistency.
- Build internal tooling for AI-assisted coding, test generation, deployments, defect triage, and observability.
- Integrate LLM-based developer tools with Jira, Confluence, GitLab, and CI/CD environments.
- Automate manual coding, testing, and release activities and support continuously releasable delivery.
- Develop AI-enabled testing capabilities, including exploratory test generation, defect clustering, flaky-test detection, and test prioritisation.
- Define responsible AI practices covering data handling, prompt hygiene, production safeguards, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Extensive software engineering experience with strong technical judgement on production systems.
- Advanced React Native and UI development expertise, including production performance and architecture improvements.
- Strong experience with test-driven development and pair programming.
- Experience owning features or systems from design and implementation through deployment and production support.
- Experience evaluating or using LLM-based developer tools in a real engineering environment.
- Strong interest in aggressive automation and removing manual engineering steps.
Nice to have
- Experience with MCP, agentic tooling, or Spec Driven Development.
- Familiarity with the Atlassian ecosystem and its APIs.
- Experience in financial services, trading platforms, or another regulated, high-reliability environment.
