Process Engineer II (AI)

Location: Tempe, Arizona, United States; onsite 5 days per week. Candidates must have unrestricted U.S. work authorization at the time of hire and throughout employment. U.S. sponsorship is not available for this role.

Salary: $84,000–$126,000 per year, plus eligibility for the hirify.global Incentive Plan.

What you will do

• Develop, optimize, and deploy manufacturing, operational, test, automation, and production processes.
• Lead equipment procurement, installation, commissioning, qualification, startup, upgrades, transfers, and expansion projects.
• Coordinate vendors, suppliers, facilities, and cross-functional stakeholders while managing schedules, milestones, risks, budgets, and resources.
• Validate equipment performance and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and operational standards.
• Analyze process performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement improvements to quality, efficiency, and throughput.
• Create process documentation and lead root cause analysis, corrective actions, continuous improvement, and AI-enabled workflow optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with no required prior experience.
• Unrestricted U.S. work authorization is required at hire and throughout employment.
• Experience with process engineering, equipment implementation, commissioning, validation, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and communicate status, risks, challenges, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership.
• For bachelor’s degrees earned outside the United States, the degree must satisfy the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A).
• Ability to work onsite in Tempe, Arizona five days per week and meet the physical requirements of the role.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of design of experiments, statistical analysis, Minitab, or JMP.
• Experience with Design for Reliability and Manufacturability, Design for Six Sigma, or Lean Six Sigma.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
• Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing.
• Experience with large language models and agentic AI solutions.
