Process Engineer II (Biotechnology)

Location: On-site in Boulder, Colorado, United States

Salary: $95,000–$110,000 annual salary, plus potential bonus or incentive pay

What you will do

• Lead process improvement initiatives across value streams and supporting functions to improve safety, quality, capacity, delivery, cost, and efficiency.
• Manage investigations, structured problem-solving activities, and process changes addressing operational challenges.
• Analyze operational and process performance data and implement sustainable improvements.
• Lead automation, technology implementation, process validation, and new product introduction activities.
• Partner with Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Logistics, Maintenance, and other teams on engineering documentation, standard work, and process specifications.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 2+ years of experience in process improvement, engineering, automation, or operational excellence initiatives.
• Experience with statistical analysis, engineering principles, Lean, DBS, Six Sigma, or structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Experience leading cross-functional projects, investigations, process changes, or continuous improvement initiatives.
• Experience analyzing process performance data and implementing improvements based on findings.
• Ability to work on-site in Boulder, Colorado, United States.

Nice to have

• Experience in biotechnology, life sciences, pharmaceutical, medical device, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
• Experience with workflow optimization, equipment qualification, new product introduction, or operational technology implementation.
• Lean, DBS, or Six Sigma certification and Kaizen facilitation experience.
