What you will do

• Teach four to five courses per semester in the undergraduate mechanical engineering and mechanical engineering technology curricula.
• Teach subjects including solid mechanics, mechanical systems design, manufacturing processes, and rigid-body mechanics or dynamical systems analysis.
• Support student development in engineering fundamentals, mathematics, science, communication, and problem solving.
• Contribute to departmental and university service responsibilities.

Requirements

• Earned Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced ABD candidates may be considered if the degree is conferred by the appointment date.
• Record of or interest in teaching the listed mechanical engineering subjects.
• At least one year of teaching experience in a university engineering program.
• Employment is based in Corpus Christi, Texas.

Nice to have

• Research and publications in the listed mechanical engineering areas.
• At least three years of teaching experience in a university engineering program.
