A stable and growing UK civils drainage and water management merchant and manufacturer with a national branch network, technical support, and a focus on customer service.
What you will do
- Lead, motivate, coach, and develop the branch team.
- Drive sales, customer engagement, profitability, and branch footfall.
- Manage stock, purchasing, goods receiving, stock control, resources, and delivery commitments.
- Maintain high standards of health and safety, quality, compliance, security, and operational efficiency.
- Control branch costs, including overtime and carriage expenditure, and implement improvement plans.
- Build effective relationships with customers, suppliers, field sales colleagues, and support teams.
Requirements
- Experience managing or supervising in trade, distribution, wholesale, builders’ merchant, drainage, merchanting, or a similar operational environment.
- Strong leadership skills with experience motivating, coaching, and developing a team.
- Experience in stock management, purchasing, and branch operations.
- Customer-focused communication, commercial awareness, organisation, and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of health and safety requirements in an operational environment.
- A proactive, hands-on approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
