Company

hirify.global provides engineering solutions for NASA and supports human space exploration and deep-space missions.

What you will do

  • Apply fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, materials, structures, and machine-design principles to propulsion and spacecraft pressure systems.
  • Support the design, analysis, architecture studies, trade assessments, material selection, and integration of propulsion components and assemblies.
  • Develop models, calculations, and data-analysis tools using Python, MATLAB, or similar engineering software, and review CAD drawings and three-dimensional models.
  • Participate in hardware assembly, laboratory and cleanroom activities, component and system testing, mission simulations, vehicle checkouts, and flight operations as assigned.
  • Review test data, requirements, technical reports, verification documents, and certification products; help investigate anomalies and nonconformances.
  • Coordinate technical work with engineers, technicians, analysts, suppliers, and contractor organizations, with travel to supplier, test, integration, launch, or program locations when required.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship and successful completion of a background check are required.
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering is required; the role is intended for early-career candidates.
  • Foundational knowledge of fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, mechanical systems, engineering materials, and engineering principles.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, requirements, test procedures, and engineering data.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, organization, attention to detail, collaboration, and willingness to perform analytical and hands-on work.
  • Ability to work safely in laboratory, test, integration, and operational environments and willingness to travel when required.

Nice to have

  • Academic, internship, research, or professional experience with propulsion, fluid, pressure, thermal, or spacecraft systems.
  • Familiarity with Python, MATLAB, CAD software such as Creo, test-data processing, or prototype development.
  • Knowledge of valves, regulators, tanks, filters, sensors, pressure vessels, aerospace materials, or fabrication methods.
  • Exposure to environmental testing, requirements verification, hazard analysis, configuration management, or flight-hardware certification.

Culture & Benefits

  • Work with multidisciplinary teams supporting NASA human spaceflight and deep-space exploration programs.
  • Participate in analytical, hands-on, laboratory, integration, and operational engineering activities.
  • Assignments may shift among branches as organizational priorities change.
