What you will do

• Copyedit digital, print, event, and agency materials for professional healthcare audiences, including websites, email campaigns, social media, advertisements, biographies, agendas, presentations, and disclosures.
• Use Claude, ChatGPT, or similar AI tools for consistency checks, draft refinement, style flag identification, and repetitive markup tasks, while validating all output with editorial judgment.
• Proofread electronic files, page proofs, and final artwork for grammar, spelling, style, and accuracy before publication or distribution.
• Identify inconsistencies and provide constructive suggestions for body copy, headlines, titles, and display type.
• Apply proofing and design changes in Adobe Acrobat Pro and follow corporate, product branding, legal, and Pharmaceutical Promotion Compliance guidelines.
• Manage multiple concurrent assignments and strict deadlines without sacrificing quality.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of editing and fact-checking experience, preferably in a medical, scientific, healthcare agency, or B2B publishing environment.
• Active experience using AI tools in editorial work, including prompt building or AI agents, with the ability to verify AI-assisted edits against applicable standards.
• Strong command of the AMA Manual of Style 11th Edition and AP Stylebook.
• Strong proofreading and Adobe Acrobat PDF markup skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, including Track Changes; Adobe Acrobat Pro experience is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university required.
