Internship - Semiconductor Fab Process Engineer

Location: Greensboro, North Carolina, United States; hands-on cleanroom work is required.

What you will do

• Design and run experiments to develop or improve semiconductor and thin-film fabrication methods.
• Optimize processes for yield, throughput, and consistency.
• Learn and safely operate deposition, etch, lithography, and metrology equipment.
• Analyze process data, make decisions, and present findings to the team.
• Handle wafers and sensitive equipment in a controlled cleanroom environment.
• Collaborate with process engineers, technicians, and manufacturing operators while maintaining detailed process documentation.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate engineering, mechanical, materials, or related technical program.
• Foundational knowledge of semiconductor processing, thin-film deposition, dry etch, lithography, and metrology.
• Ability to apply classroom learning through coursework, projects, laboratory work, research, or related experience.
• Available for the full internship period.

Nice to have

• Prior cleanroom experience.
• Familiarity with wafer fabrication tools and metrology systems.
