Senior Cloud Systems Engineer (CI/CD & Data Platform)

Location: Hybrid role with on-site office work in Toronto, Ontario, and work from home as required

Salary: $100,000–$120,000 per year

What you will do

• Design, deploy, and manage AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure with Terraform.
• Build and maintain enterprise CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, and GitLab.
• Develop reusable Infrastructure as Code modules, platform automation frameworks, and GitOps practices.
• Architect and support cloud-based data lakes using AWS and Azure data services, including Lake Formation, S3, Glue, Athena, Redshift, Data Lake Storage, Synapse, and Microsoft Fabric.
• Implement cloud security, IAM, secrets management, encryption, logging, monitoring, governance, and compliance controls.
• Support EKS and AKS Kubernetes platforms while driving reliability, operational excellence, and cloud cost optimization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
• 7–10 years of IT infrastructure, systems engineering, or cloud engineering experience, including 5+ years of hands-on AWS engineering.
• Expert-level Terraform and Infrastructure as Code experience with strong AWS architecture and platform engineering expertise.
• Experience with Azure services, hybrid cloud environments, CI/CD pipeline design, and data lake or data platform architecture.
• Linux administration and scripting experience with Python, PowerShell, and Bash.
• Strong knowledge of cloud security, IAM, compliance frameworks, and network administration.

• HashiCorp Terraform certification.
• Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure DevOps Engineer certification.
