Group Leader (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: Manchester, United Kingdom; onsite shift-based role working four nights on and four nights off, from 7pm to 7am

What you will do

• Lead the safe and effective operation of a production area within the wafer fabrication facility.
• Own area performance and contribute to fab metrics including starts, outs, deliveries, and throughput.
• Manage, coach, mentor, and develop team members, including attendance, disciplinary, and capability processes.
• Plan staffing, skills coverage, holiday, overtime, training, and area flexibility.
• Coordinate with Group Leaders, engineering, planning, and support functions to resolve issues and meet fab priorities.
• Use production data to identify trends, communicate performance, and lead continuous improvement in safety, quality, output, flexibility, and cost.

Requirements

• Full right to work in the UK is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
• Availability for four nights on and four nights off, from 7pm to 7am.
• Previous team leadership, deputy leadership, coaching, or mentoring experience.
• Ability to lead, engage, and develop others while managing changing production priorities.
• Strong organisation, planning, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to analyse and present production data and consistently apply company processes.
