Location: Mountain View, California; New York, New York; or San Francisco, California

Base pay: $199,000–$269,000 in Mountain View and San Francisco; $199,000–$269,500 in New York. The role may also include performance bonuses, equity, and benefits.

What you will do

• Lead high-profile earned and owned communications initiatives for QuickBooks and hirify.global Intelligence.
• Develop and place feature stories, launch exclusives, and other narratives in top-tier US media.
• Translate AI-powered product capabilities and complex technology into clear, credible stories grounded in small-business impact.
• Partner with senior executives, Product Marketing, Product, Legal, and external PR agencies on integrated communications.
• Manage proactive issues, reputational risks, cross-brand messaging, and communications across QuickBooks, Mailchimp, Credit Karma, and TurboTax.
• Use generative AI tools, emerging channels, and analytics to improve storytelling, media relations, and campaign performance.

Requirements

• 12+ years of PR and media relations experience.
• Established relationships with top-tier US media in technology, business, and fintech.
• Experience spanning agency leadership and in-house enterprise or technology communications.
• Ability to partner with senior leaders and cross-functional teams on complex product and ecosystem narratives.
• Expertise in integrated 360-degree campaigns, including PR, internal communications, social media, and executive thought leadership.
• Experience with international teams, proactive issues management, reputational risk mitigation, data analytics, and modern AI tools.
