What you will do

• Lead exploration of the reusable-launcher design space and drive convergence toward a coherent vehicle architecture.
• Use specialist-team models and analyses to identify valuable design paths and direct follow-up investigations.
• Make architecture decisions balancing performance, development risk, operability, lifecycle cost, and profitability.
• Own multidisciplinary architecture trades across propulsion, fluids, structures, avionics, trajectory, production, logistics, launch operations, and refurbishment.
• Evaluate integrated model outputs, assumptions, and limitations, translating them into architecture decisions.
• Set direction under uncertainty and create alignment across engineering, program, and executive stakeholders.

Requirements

• Extensive launch-vehicle architecture experience, including direct work on rocket development programs.
• Demonstrated experience with reusable launch vehicles, recovery architectures, or reuse-driven vehicle design.
• Proven ownership of multidisciplinary architecture trades and high-impact design decisions.
• Deep understanding of reusable-launcher architectures, subsystem interactions, vehicle design, recovery, and operations.
• Strong systems-engineering and configuration-management knowledge, including lifecycle cost, operational economics, and profitability analysis.
• Fluent English, written and spoken, is required.

• Experience shaping a launcher architecture during an early development phase.
• Fluent German.
