Compliance Advisory Lead (Fintech)

Location: Menlo Park, CA; New York City, NY; or Washington, DC, with in-person attendance expected at least 3 days per week

Base pay: $89,000–$135,000 USD annually, depending on compensation zone and location; bonus, equity, and benefits are also available.

What you will do

• Partner with product and engineering teams to support the design, launch, and iteration of banking products, features, and process changes.
• Assess compliance risks under banking and consumer protection regulations, including UDAAP, Reg E, and Reg DD.
• Review marketing materials, customer communications, and disclosures for regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate due diligence requests and ongoing compliance activities with sponsor banks and third-party partners.
• Maintain and improve banking compliance policies, procedures, and controls.
• Lead regulatory, partner, and internal audits, including response coordination and remediation tracking.

Requirements

• At least 7 years of experience in financial services compliance, with deep banking and fintech experience.
• Hands-on experience working with bank partners and state and federal regulatory agencies.
• Strong knowledge of UDAAP, EFTA, TISA, money transmission laws, and related banking regulations.
• Experience designing and scaling compliance programs for consumer financial products in technology-driven environments.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to assess compliance risks for novel financial features and translate regulatory guidance into actionable product requirements.
