Manager, Consolidations & SEC Reporting

Location: Chicago, IL; in-office work is required four days per week.

Salary: $115,000–$135,000 annually, applicable to roles performed in Chicago. Bonus eligibility is also available.

What you will do

• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual global consolidation process, including consolidation journals, eliminations, foreign currency translation, reporting packages, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate close deliverables across regions and corporate teams while standardizing accounting policies and close procedures.
• Oversee intercompany accounting, reconciliations, settlements, elimination entries, governance, cut-off policies, and documentation.
• Support the preparation and filing of SEC Forms 10-Q and 10-K, including footnote support, roll-forwards, disclosure tie-outs, and technical accounting matters.
• Coordinate with external auditors and maintain documentation and internal controls over financial reporting.
• Enhance consolidation tools such as Workiva and NetSuite, automate reconciliations, improve data quality, and mentor consolidation accountants and analysts.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 6 years of progressive accounting experience with significant exposure to consolidations and financial reporting.
• Experience in a publicly traded, multi-entity, multi-currency global organization.
• Strong knowledge of consolidation accounting, intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translation, noncontrolling interests, earnings per share, and equity method accounting.
• SEC reporting experience preparing Forms 10-Q, 10-K, and proxy statements, with proficiency in U.S. GAAP, accounting software, Workiva, NetSuite, Microsoft Office, and Excel.
• Ability to work in the office four days per week in Chicago; employment visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future.

Nice to have

• CPA or equivalent qualification.
• Exposure to IFRS.
• Experience implementing or optimizing consolidation software, especially NetSuite.
• Familiarity with SOX compliance, internal controls, and business intelligence software.
