Software Development Consultant (Azure)

Location: USA Remote

Base pay: $113,200–$155,650 per year, plus eligibility for a short-term incentive plan.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and support enterprise integrations using Azure Functions, Durable Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Hubs, Event Grid, Fabric, and Azure API Management.
• Build, publish, and manage secure REST APIs, including policies, products, versioning, and access controls.
• Implement synchronous, asynchronous, messaging, and event-driven integration patterns.
• Modernize existing BAW, Informatica, and MuleSoft integrations into Azure-native solutions.
• Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code with Bicep.
• Collaborate with Integration CoE, Enterprise Architecture, Security, and engineering teams on standards, design reviews, and platform evaluations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
• 5+ years of enterprise integration or middleware development experience.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Azure Integration Services, including Azure Functions, Durable Functions, Logic Apps, and API Management.
• Strong experience building RESTful APIs and service-based integrations.
• Working knowledge of OAuth2, managed identities, certificates, Private Endpoints, and Service Endpoints.
• Experience with JSON, XML, data transformation, messaging platforms, and medium-to-large enterprise environments.

Nice to have

• Experience migrating integrations to Azure-native platforms.
• Knowledge of Enterprise Integration Patterns.
• Experience in insurance or financial services environments.
• Familiarity with OWASP, NIST, and CIS secure coding standards.
